The building with a fortuna spirit

The building of the former spa has recently awoken from a long enchanted sleep and was turned into a gallery. Once, the building was a distinctive feat of architecture. In the beginning of the 20th century, indoorswimming pools were not at all common and thus the pool signified the wealth of the citizens of Liberec and the significant status of the city. Its role is further supported by the fact that it lies within a short distance of other representative buildings such as the museum or the seat of the Chamber of Trades and Commerce. It is therefore no wonder that the spa of Liberec has gotten stuck in the memory of even the eldest witnesses we’ve interviewed.
